It is our desire and primary objective to improve the quality of life in Casey County Kentucky by helping our fellow citizens to obtain the basic necessities of life.
Uniting partners and volunteers for building and nurturing community through programs for neighbors in need. |
| Company history When the Christian Appalachian Project left our community in 1994, Homer Hecht, pastor of the First Christian Church, founded Casey County Community Ministries. His vision was to create a grass roots organization aimed at helping the needy and disenfranchised citizens of this county.

Testimonial
A few years ago, in the wintertime, all we had in the house was a couple of cans of beans and some coffee. Our neighbors helped out, but times got worse for us. Just when things seemed the worst, we found out about you all [Community Ministries]. We went down to The Attic [now The Gathering Place] and picked up some food from Don at the food pantry. More recently, Community Ministries came and put siding on my house. I thank the Lord every day for people like you all. Some people would not give the time of day, I pray for people like that.
